Colorado Springs Back Online!

December 16, 2021

Power issues were thankfully short.

Colorado Springs Offline

December 15, 2021

We have a power failure at one of the link sites between Denver and Colorado Springs, so Colorado Springs isn’t linked in right now.  Hopefully this is short term and power will be back quickly.

Steamboat Springs Removed from our list

October 19, 2021

This repeater has been down for years and wasn’t actually owned or maintained by the Colorado Connection.  We’ve kept it listed mainly because we hoped the owners would restore it some day.  That hasn’t happened, so we are regretfully removing it from our list.

Walden site is now a full repeater

September 25, 2021

This site has been upgraded to a full repeater.  It is no longer just a simplex repeater.

Thorodin fully operational

September 5, 2021

The Mt. Thorodin site is now fully operational with both the main and backup repeaters upgraded.  Thanks to Doug (K2AD), Charley (K4NYN) and his son Lucas, and Rick (KK0COP). The site is now back up to full power, full redundancy, and repeaters that have much better remote diagnostics.

Glenwood Springs Planned Power Outage

August 25, 2021

Power to the Glenwood Springs site will be removed as part of some planned power line maintenance.  The outage is planned for August 30th from 7am-6pm.  Grand Junction should not be affected.

Kremmling back online!

August 23, 2021

The Kremmling repeater which has been down for several years is finally back online!  To restore it we needed to change locations requiring several scouting trips, a trip to lay down new conduit for power to the new building, and finally a trip installing of the repeater itself.

Vail back up!

August 23, 2021

The Vail machine is backup and fully operational!  The main failure was a rodent one, some critical cables were treated as food. The replacement cables are now in conduit.

Leadville fully operational!

August 23, 2021

The Leadville machine is back up and fully operational with a completely new solar power system (panels, batteries, and controllers).  The loss of microwave comms was due to both microwave radios being blown, most likely due to a lightning strike.  That restores our microwave link all the way to Grand Junction again too.

Removing Craig from our list

July 29, 2021

This repeater is owned and operated by a local group.  The repeater works, but the link to the Colorado Connection has been down for a couple years now.  With no known plans to restore that link, we are going to not  list it anymore, but if it does ever link up will happily relist it.
